We are committed to embedding local impact throughout everything that happens at Stratford Junction.
Through our new Innovation Hub, Stratford Junction will connect local people to new routes into work and training by supporting direct access to the ground-breaking activities emerging across the site.
This space will include a variety of studios, workshop space, creator spaces, and real paid creative commissions, alongside a dedicated employment and skills hub which will help turn opportunity into careers.
We want to work to ensure that at least half of all the jobs created are for Newham residents.
Monthly free of charge on-site meeting space for local community groups and creative SMEs to use.
Each year we’re looking to partner with one school and one artist to support the evolving public art across the site.
We’ll be providing 1,000 free event tickets to young people referred through Newham’s Children and Young People’s services.
Through our innovation hub we want to work closely with cultural institutions and schools, further education and universities to provide annual placements.
We’ll establish a community liaison group which will meet regularly through the year with local cultural organisations, community and resident groups to shape the sites programming.
