New public spaces

Whether you are visiting Stratford Junction for a performance, a bite to eat, or just passing through, new walkways, seating and green spaces through the site will provide a unique experience.

Working with level changes across the site, we’re ensuring that the public realm is inviting to all, with wide, open spaces, level access and thoughtfully designed lighting and landscaping.

Building on the local street art emerging through the meanwhile use, our future plans will incorporate thought provoking art trails and outdoor events curated for members of the public to enjoy at their leisure.

The Art Promenade will provide the most direct route through the site from the Stratford Link Bridge to Angel Lane; while the Art Trail will offer a meandering route to take your time, and find creative and intriguing discoveries along the way

Key features include:
  • c. 1,700 sqm of public open space, including a new piazza, seating and social spaces
  • New pedestrian routes and connections
  • Open spaces for gathering and events
  • Green infrastructure and planting

Through experienced and thorough management from our onsite team, we will ensure that the site feels safe, welcoming and inclusive throughout the day and into the evening.
