Our aspiration is to support the growing visitor economy in Stratford by delivering an exemplar hotel for those who want to spend time in Stratford as a major destination for culture and events.
As part of our hotel proposals, we will deliver 1600 new hotel rooms alongside a rooftop bar, which will also be accessible to the public.
Newham currently has an undersupply of serviced hotel rooms and the hotel use would provide an alternative to the 12,000 Airbnb bedspaces in the Borough.
The hotel will also support increased spend by visitors in bars, restaurants and shops, and investment in local supply chains.
Alongside the opportunity to promote growth in the local economy, the hotel will also provide employment opportunities for Newham residents with a strategy in place to create jobs for local people first.
